All the images you see were captured on 35mm Fugichrome Velvia film. Images are then transferred to digital format using a high resolution film scanner. Prints are produced from these digital files.

Do you manipulate these pictures with the computer?

The goal of the process is to produce a print which, as closely as possible, reflects the original transparency as viewed on the light board. The colors you see are authentic; they are the result of dramatic lighting and experienced use of film with excellent saturation. I do not use color enhancing filters. I try hard not to misrepresent the scene as it was.

Occasionally, the limitations of film are such that an image cannot be recorded as it was. I have several images which are composites of two identically composed images at different exposures. I do not add anything into a scene that was not present at the time of capture.

 Are these prints archival quality?

Yes, all of the prints (excluding cards) are printed on Red River Paper’s 76lb. LuxArt, a 100% cotton artistic inkjet paper, using Epson UltraChrome Inks which have been light fast tested on similar papers for 75+ years.

As with any fine art print, you should always display prints out of direct sunlight under glass or plastic for maximum life.
